Position: IT System Administrator (Infrastructure & Information Security)
Location: Gurugram
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT System Administrator with 3–5 years of experience to manage the organization's IT infrastructure while driving Information Security (InfoSec) initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Group Policy Management, endpoint security, identity and access management, and implementation of security policies aligned with industry best practices.
The role involves managing enterprise IT operations, strengthening security posture, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies, and providing technical support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & System Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoint devices.
- Configure, deploy, and manage Azure Entra ID (Azure AD), including user provisioning, security groups, Conditional Access Policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Design, implement, and manage Group Policies (GPOs) for endpoint security, password policies, software deployment, Windows updates, USB restrictions, BitLocker, and device management.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
- Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, file servers, and shared resources.
- Manage Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management solutions (preferred).
Information Security
- Implement and enforce the organization's Information Security (InfoSec) policies across all systems and users.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, cybersecurity best practices, and internal security standards.
- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Manage endpoint protection, antivirus solutions, firewalls, BitLocker encryption, and device security.
- Perform periodic security audits, access reviews, and compliance checks.
- Implement least-privilege access and identity management best practices.
IT Operations
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT assets.
- Manage software deployment, patch management, and operating system updates.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and security procedures.
Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Admin, and Business Teams to onboard and offboard employees securely.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement and IT services.
- Conduct user awareness sessions on cybersecurity best practices and organizational InfoSec policies.
- Support IT audits and compliance assessments.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Administration and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint device management tools.
- Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Experience implementing Conditional Access Policies and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
- Experience with endpoint security, antivirus, firewalls, and BitLocker.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience implementing Information Security policies across enterprise environments.
- Understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls, or similar security frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring.
- Experience with vulnerability management and security auditing.
- Exposure to cloud security best practices.
