Job Summary
GAET International School is looking for a hands-on IT Support Manager to oversee and manage the school’s IT infrastructure across campus.
This role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, including network management, server maintenance, hardware systems, and user support. The IT Support Manager will work closely with staff and administration to maintain a secure, efficient, and reliable technology environment that supports teaching and learning.
Success in this role is defined by system reliability, quick issue resolution, and the ability to proactively manage and upgrade IT infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Computer Science or higher. Certifications in Networking, CCNA& MCSA
Preferred:
2 to 5 Years in IT support, networking, cloud based service & disaster recovery
Job Description
Network & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN networks
- Manage routers (including CISCO), switches, and cabling systems
- Monitor network performance and recommend upgrades
Server & Systems Management
- Maintain server environments, mail systems, and domain configurations
- Manage backups and support disaster recovery planning
- Ensure system uptime and performance
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and network devices
- Replace and maintain faulty hardware components
Security & Performance Monitoring
- Implement network security measures and antivirus systems
- Monitor systems for performance, risks, and vulnerabilities
- Ensure secure access to network resources
IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee Wi-Fi systems, CCTV, printers, and campus IT devices
- Ensure all infrastructure is updated and functioning efficiently
Collaboration & User Support
- Support staff and students with IT-related concerns
- Manage user access and permissions
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth IT operations
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and logs
- Share regular reports on system performance and issues
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA
- Experience with cloud-based systems and virtual environments
- Familiarity with modern IT security practices
- Goa-based candidates preferred
