About the Role
Umendra Life Sciences manufactures topical pharmaceutical products for export under cGMP standards. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on IT Support Executive to be the day-to-day IT presence at our Bavla plant. You will work under the guidance of our IT contractor, who manages infrastructure and compliance — your job is to keep things running on the ground: supporting plant users, maintaining surveillance systems, and escalating issues promptly when they're beyond first-line resolution.
What You Will Do
User Support Resolve day-to-day hardware, software, and connectivity issues for plant users — on the floor, not through a slow ticket queue. Handle laptop/desktop issues, printer problems, network access, and basic OS troubleshooting. Use remote tools (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer) where applicable.
CCTV & Surveillance Monitor and maintain IP-based CCTV and NVR/DVR systems across production and facility areas. Ensure cameras are online, recordings are intact, and storage is healthy. Escalate hardware failures or network issues to the IT contractor promptly.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination Be the on-site point of contact when vendors or the IT contractor need access, information, or follow-up. Log issues, track resolution, and report status to the relevant supervisor.
ERP & Application Support Assist plant users with basic ERP navigation and access issues. Manage user accounts and access requests. Escalate system-level problems to the IT contractor or application vendor — you are not expected to administer the ERP backend.
Basic Documentation & Asset Tracking Maintain a basic log of IT assets, support requests, and incidents at the plant level. Keep records in a format the IT contractor and management can reference when needed.
What We're Looking For
- 1–4 years in IT support or a similar hands-on role
- Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or Electronics
- Must be based in or willing to commute to Bavla, Ahmedabad
- Manufacturing or industrial setting experience preferred
Technical Skills
Windows OS troubleshooting · Basic networking (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration) · IP CCTV / NVR systems · Remote support tools (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer) · Hardware maintenance · Basic understanding of Active Directory user management
