About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technology Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting mission-critical enterprise infrastructure environments, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center operations, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and have a passion for maintaining high-availability systems. As a Senior Support Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing complex enterprise ecosystems, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with enterprise-grade technologies, lead critical incident resolutions, and contribute to infrastructure transformation projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure support. A B.E / B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft (Windows Server / Hyper-V), Red Hat (RHCSA / RHCE), or storage/backups certifications are highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong expertise in server and storage architecture, virtualization technologies, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and Linux/Windows OS administration. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as VLANs, TCP/IP, and bonding is essential. The ability to analyze complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with OEMs and vendors for escalations are critical skills for this role.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support enterprise servers from vendors such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, or equivalent hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware components including CPU, memory, disks, RAID/HBA controllers, firmware, and drivers to ensure optimal performance.
- Deploy and manage SAN/NAS storage solutions, including LUN provisioning, RAID configurations, multipathing, and performance tuning.
- Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Linux KVM, managing VM lifecycle, high availability, live migration, and cluster patching/upgrades.
- Implement and support enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions like Commvault, NetBackup, and Veeam, including backup monitoring, restore validation, and conducting DR drills.
- Manage Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, Suse) environments by executing OS patching, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tasks.
- Monitor infrastructure health through regular system checks, perform root cause analysis for incidents, and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors for escalations, RMA processes, and hardware replacements.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and process consistency.
