HME Solutions is a product-based technology company specializing in Mining Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Asset Intelligence, and Mining Automation solutions. We develop cutting-edge software products that improve mining operations through visualization, simulation, and real-time analytics.
We are looking for an IT Network Engineer to manage, maintain and support the network infrastructure connecting our office, mining sites, servers, devices and software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and site networking infrastructure.
· Support network connectivity between mining sites, offices, servers and cloud-based applications.
· Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, access points and VPNs.
· Monitor network performance, connectivity, bandwidth and availability.
· Troubleshoot network issues affect FMS applications, in-cab tablets, telemetry devices and connected mining equipment.
· Support secure communication between mining equipment, edge devices, servers and cloud platforms.
· Configure and maintain IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS and routing.
· Implement and maintain VPN and secure remote-access solutions for site connectivity and support.
· Work with IT and software teams to ensure reliable connectivity for production applications.
· Assist with network architecture and infrastructure planning for new mining sites and deployments.
· Provide technical support during site deployments, network installations and system commissioning.
· Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations and asset records.
· Monitor network security and identify potential vulnerabilities or unauthorized access.
· Coordinate with internet service providers, hardware vendors and other technology partners.
· Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of network-related incidents.
· Provide occasional site support/travel to mining locations when required.
· Experience managing Ubiquiti/UniFi networking devices is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience :
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Networking, Electronics or a related field.
· 2–5 years of experience in IT networking or network infrastructure.
· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS and routing.
· Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, Ubiquiti or similar networking equipment.
· Experience with firewalls, VPNs and network security.
· Good troubleshooting skills for network connectivity and performance issues.
· Understanding of Wi-Fi networking and wireless infrastructure.
· Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
· Good understanding of Windows/Linux networking environments.
· Ability to document network configurations and troubleshoot issues independently
