IT Lead | Full-Time | Kolkata (Work from Office)
Role Overview
As an IT Lead at House of EdTech, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s
overall IT infrastructure, network operations, and technical support functions to ensure
smooth and uninterrupted business operations across the organization. This role requires
strong expertise in networking, internet bandwidth optimization, Wi-Fi and telephony
systems, IT asset management, and team handling.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing IT operations in
fast-paced environments such as BPOs, corporate offices, or large operational setups. The
role involves managing end-to-end IT infrastructure and workplace technology operations
across 8-10 office locations, supporting a workforce of 2,000+ employees. Responsibilities
include overseeing internet connectivity, SIM and telecom services, leased lines, biometric
systems, asset management, hardware troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless day-to-day
IT support and operational efficiency across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
Network & Internet Management
- Monitor and troubleshoot internet connectivity and network-related issues.
- Optimize internet bandwidth utilization and ensure smooth network flow across
departments.
- Configure, verify, and maintain Wi-Fi access points and network devices.
- Ensure network uptime, stability, and performance across office locations.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for internet-related escalations and resolutions.
IT Infrastructure Management
- Manage and maintain overall IT infrastructure including systems, routers, switches,
and telephonic systems.
- Handle SIM management, telephony coordination, and related IT communication
systems.
- Conduct routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure
monitoring.
- Ensure smooth functioning of desktops, laptops, printers, and connected devices.
IT Support Operations
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and
connectivity-related issues.
- Resolve day-to-day IT operational challenges within defined timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth IT operations and business continuity.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, systems, and support activities.
Asset & Security Management
- Manage IT assets including procurement coordination, tracking, allocation, and
maintenance.
- Maintain inventory records for systems, devices, SIMs, and networking equipment.
- Ensure basic IT security practices, access management, and system monitoring.
- Support implementation of IT policies and operational compliance.
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate the IT support team for efficient issue resolution and
operational management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments for infrastructure planning and
execution.
- Support management with IT operational reporting and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure smooth IT operations across all business functions and office locations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi systems, routers, switches, and internet
management.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting connectivity and infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with telephonic systems, SIM management, and IT hardware support.
- Understanding of bandwidth management, network stability, and access point
maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic system security and IT operational processes.
Operational Skills
- Experience in IT asset management and infrastructure coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple IT operations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good vendor management and coordination skills.
Leadership Skills
- Experience in leading or managing IT support teams.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Have experience working in BPO, corporate, or operational IT environments.
- Have managed end-to-end IT operations and infrastructure support.
- Possess strong networking and troubleshooting expertise.
- Have experience handling teams and coordinating overall IT activities.
- Can ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations with minimal downtime.
- Are based in Kolkata or willing to work from office.
