The IT Infrastructure Solution Architect, End User Computing & Digital Workplace, Global, is part of a global IT team and is primarily responsible for designing and supporting the implementation of strategic End User Computing and Digital Workplace initiatives. This role contributes to the definition of a multi-year digital workplace roadmap, ensuring alignment with business requirements, user experience objectives, and the overall IT and enterprise architecture strategy.
In close collaboration with service owners, security teams, HR, and business stakeholders, the EUC & Digital Workplace Architect defines and governs global standards for end-user technologies, collaboration platforms, endpoint management, and workplace services. The role ensures that selected solutions are secure, user-centric, well-integrated, cost-effective, and scalable, enabling a productive and consistent digital experience for employees across all regions.
A critical aspect of this role is embedding IT security principles, data protection, privacy, and compliance requirements into all EUC and DigitalWorkplace designs. By doing so, the EUC & Digital Workplace Architect helps protect Olympus’ information assets while enabling a modern, flexible, and future-ready digital working environment.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of secure, scalable, and user-centric end-user computing and digital workplace solutions across global environments.
- Define and evolve the global digital workplace strategy and roadmap, aligned with business needs, employee experience objectives, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Architect and govern endpoint platforms, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and virtual workspaces (VDI/DaaS) across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Design and standardize modern endpoint management solutions (e.g., MDM/MAM, unified endpoint management) covering device lifecycle, patching, compliance, and automation.
- Lead the architecture of collaboration and productivity platforms, including email, messaging, conferencing, file sharing, and digital collaboration tools.
- Ensure Digital Workplace designs embed security best practices such as zero trust, identity-based access, device compliance, data loss prevention (DLP), and endpoint protection.
- Drive automation and self-service capabilities for end-user provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, software distribution, and device management to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Define and support the implementation of digital employee experience (DEX) monitoring, analytics, and optimization strategies to proactively identify issues and improve productivity.
- Create and maintain high-quality design documentation, including reference architectures, solution blueprints, HLDs/LLDs, RACI charts, and operational runbooks.
- Evaluate, select, and drive adoption of innovative digital workplace technologies (e.g., VDI/DaaS, AI-assisted productivity tools, modern collaboration platforms).
- Participate in architecture review boards and IT governance forums to ensure standardization, alignment, and compliance across the global IT landscape.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, security teams, HR, workplace services, application teams, and external service providers to deliver integrated workplace solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation of architecture decisions, standards, reference designs, and best practices, and support knowledge transfer across IT teams.

What we are looking for:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience .
- Relevant certification for IT architecture is beneficial, e.g., MS-101, MS-100, MD-102, SC-100, or equivalent.
Experience
Specialized experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of IT.
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience in end-user computing and/or digital workplace technologies
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading global Digital Workplace or EUC initiatives in a complex, multinational environment
- Demonstrable experience designing EUC and digital workplace solutions, working with external service providers, and operating within ITIL service management frameworks.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale global projects and organizational change initiatives.
- Preferred: experience in the medical industry, either in a consulting company or directly in a life science healthcare company preferred.
Management experience
- Preferred: experience in managing staff, including work review and performance reviews
- Preferred: experience in successfully managing project teams and project stakeholders in multiple geographies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of EUC, digital workplace, collaboration, endpoint management, and security technologies.
- Expertise in modern workplace platforms, endpoint security, identity integration, and automation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft 365, VMware Workspace ONE, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Strong architectural thinking with attention to detail and integration.
- Ability to learn, evaluate, and adopt emerging digital workplace technologies.
