Role: IT Infrastructure Audit Consultant — Independent Engagement
Type: Fixed-term independent consulting contract
Duration: Approximately 5–6 months
Location: Bangalore, India — primarily on-site
Compensation: Paid engagement; terms to be discussed with shortlisted candidates
About Us
We are a full-service law firm headquartered in Bangalore, providing comprehensive legal services to a growing client base across corporate, litigation, and advisory practices. Our operations are underpinned by a robust IT ecosystem that supports client-confidential data, internal workflows, and day-to-day legal practice. As we scale, we are investing in making our technology infrastructure more secure, efficient, and future-ready — and we are looking for the right independent expert to help us get there.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Audit Consultant for a fixed-term, paid engagement of approximately 5–6 months. In this role, you will conduct an independent, objective assessment of our entire technology environment, identify gaps and risks, and deliver a clear, prioritized roadmap of recommendations. Your findings will directly inform infrastructure investment decisions made by Firm leadership.
This is a primarily on-site engagement at our Bangalore office.
What You Will Do
- Assess the end-to-end IT infrastructure across the Firm's Bangalore office and any connected locations
- Review network architecture, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, and remote access configurations
- Evaluate server, storage, and compute infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Audit data security posture, access controls, and compliance practices — with particular attention to client data confidentiality standards expected in a legal environment
- Review endpoint and device management practices across the user base
- Assess backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness
- Evaluate IT service management, helpdesk operations, and vendor and AMC management
- Review software licensing and IT asset management practices
- Identify gaps, risks, single points of failure, and technical debt
- Deliver a prioritized, phased optimization roadmap with a cost-benefit view for key recommendations
Key Deliverables
- Current-state IT infrastructure assessment report
- Gap analysis and risk register
- Short-, medium-, and long-term infrastructure optimization roadmap
- Cost-benefit analysis for major recommended changes
- Final presentation and walkthrough with Firm leadership and IT stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrable experience auditing IT infrastructure, preferably within professional services, legal, or similarly regulated sectors
- Strong understanding of data security and confidentiality requirements relevant to legal practice
- Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly to senior leadership and technical stakeholders
- Structured, objective approach to assessment and documentation
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISA, or cloud platform certifications are a plus, but not mandatory
