Role Description The IT Hardware and Network Engineer will work on-site in Vadodara in a full-time capacity, supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, operating systems, and network devices. The role involves monitoring network performance, managing switches, routers, firewalls, and ensuring secure connectivity across the environment. The engineer will handle routine maintenance, respond to incidents, support annual maintenance contracts, and coordinate with vendors for hardware and software requirements. Additional tasks include implementing and maintaining CCTV systems, documenting configurations and procedures, and providing user support for IT-related issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Experience with networking concepts and devices, such as LAN/WAN, switches, routers, cabling, and basic network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus tools, and best practices for securing networks and endpoints.
- Exposure to CCTV systems, including installation, configuration, and basic maintenance of cameras and recording devices.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), common business applications, and routine software support.
- Ability to manage annual maintenance activities, maintain documentation, and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach to supporting internal users and clients.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Vadodara and support occasional after-hours maintenance or emergency issues as needed.
