Role Overview
Amity University is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to support the development, integration, and maintenance of digital platforms including university websites, portals, internal systems, and student-facing applications. The role involves building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that support the university’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend architecture for websites, portals, and digital platforms.
Build and manage APIs and server-side logic to support front-end applications.
Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and SEO teams to implement platform improvements.
Ensure system performance, scalability, and security across digital platforms.
Integrate third-party services, CRM systems, and external platforms where required.
Maintain and optimize databases and server infrastructure.
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth functionality of digital systems.
Skills & Requirements
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, PHP, or Java.
Strong knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Experience in API development and integration (RESTful APIs).
Familiarity with Angular or modern front-end frameworks.
Knowledge of server architecture, deployment processes, and version control systems such as Git.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience
4–5 years of relevant professional experience in backend development, preferably working on web platforms, enterprise systems, or large-scale digital applications.
