About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, firewall systems, and endpoint security. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment, supporting our rapid growth and technological innovation. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining system uptime, implementing security protocols, and providing technical support across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless IT operations and contribute to the ongoing development of our digital infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
- Experience with firewall technologies such as Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, or similar.
- Proficiency in endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, EDR, and patch management tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including switches, routers, VPNs, and access controls.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management.
- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers within Windows and Linux environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Manage and monitor the organization’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to maintain a secure and reliable network environment.
- Configure and enforce firewall security policies, manage VPN connections, and control access to ensure data integrity and security compliance.
- Implement and oversee endpoint security solutions such as antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and patch management systems to safeguard organizational assets.
- Perform regular system monitoring, backups, and develop disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to ensure continuous business operations.
- Monitor system logs, analyze security alerts, and respond effectively to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and incident reports for audit and troubleshooting purposes.
