Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive IT Asset Administrator with hands-on experience in asset management and system diagnostics. The role involves managing the complete lifecycle of IT assets while also supporting basic troubleshooting and system performance checks to ensure smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licenses, peripherals)
- Track asset lifecycle: procurement → allocation → maintenance → disposal
- Perform basic system diagnostics and troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, and peripherals
- Identify and resolve hardware and performance-related issues
- Ensure proper asset tagging, documentation, and audit readiness
- Coordinate with IT teams and vendors for procurement, repairs, and AMC management
- Monitor software license compliance and renewals
- Handle asset allocation and retrieval during onboarding and exit processes
- Maintain records in ERP / Asset Management systems
- Conduct periodic asset audits and reconciliation
- Support IT support activities and escalate issues when required
Required Skills:
- Experience in IT asset management and lifecycle handling
- Hands-on knowledge of system diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hardware components, OS issues, and performance optimization
- Experience with ERP systems or asset management tools
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel / reporting tools
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / related field
- Experience in mid to large organizations
- Exposure to IT audits, compliance, and IT support environments
