Key Responsibilities
- Works in the yard to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Assists Mixer Operators, Loaders, and other personnel with any issues or obstacles that could impede production.
- Directs any additional yard laborers in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Maintains company’s property including machinery, heavy equipment, grounds, etc. to ensure it is neat in appearance and free of safety problems.
- Works with management to ensure that all safety features of the plant(s), heavy equipment and machinery are properly working.
- Responds in a timely manner when problems with heavy equipment, machinery, etc. occur.
- Operates a front-end loader and other heavy equipment as needed.
- May occasionally record daily use and current inventories of materials to ensure the supply of all materials is adequate.Abbigail A Gainesabbi.gaines@irvmat.com
- May batch ready mix concrete, ensuring the proper mix is batched and loaded properly.
- Cleans and maintains the work area and returns tools, equipment, etc. to its proper place.
- All other duties or special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year of ready mix plant operations experience. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Education/Experience:
A high school diploma or G.E.D. desired.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
