Job Title:IT Administrator
Role Summary
We are hiring a IT Administrator to build and manage the company’s IT systems, security
baseline, and internal infrastructure from scratch.
This role goes beyond traditional IT support and requires ownership of device
management, access control, IT policies, security practices, and operational systems.
The candidate will act as both an IT Administrator and Security Custodian, ensuring the
organization is secure, structured, and scalable from day one.
The ideal candidate should be able to think like an enterprise and execute in a startup
environment, balancing speed, usability, and security.
Key Responsibilities-
1. IT Foundation, Standards & Policies
Document, and enforce IT policies (acceptable use, device usage, password & MFA,
software installation, data access)
Establish baseline configurations and security standards for systems and devices
Maintain documentation of allowed vs blocked tools, access, and usage
Create and maintain IT policy handbook, SOPs, and configuration checklists
2. IT Asset & Device Management
Maintain centralized asset inventory (laptops, devices, peripherals)
Track asset lifecycle: procurement → allocation → usage → replacement →
retirement
Define standard device configurations based on roles
Manage onboarding/offboarding device allocation and recovery
Maintain asset logs, ownership records, and procurement workflows
3. Device Management, Access Control & MDM
Set up and manage device controls (MDM or equivalent for Windows/macOS)
Enforce device security policies (encryption, updates, compliance)
Implement RBAC and least privilege access
Manage user accounts, permissions, and secure onboarding/offboarding
4. IT Operations, Helpdesk & Support
Set up and manage IT helpdesk/ticketing workflow
Define ticket categories, priorities, and SLAs
Provide day-to-day IT support and handle escalations/outages
Track response time, resolution time, and user satisfaction
Maintain structured reporting for IT operations
5. Security Controls & Cyber Hygiene
Implement endpoint security (antivirus, monitoring, patching)
Define allowed software, blocked applications, and access controls
Enforce MFA and secure authentication
Monitor login anomalies and access risks
Maintain logs, audit trails, and security practices
Support phishing awareness, spam control, and cybersecurity hygiene
6. Onboarding, Offboarding & Access Governance
Manage onboarding: device setup, account creation, role-based access
Conduct basic security briefing for employees
Handle offboarding: access revocation, device recovery, data checks
Maintain access logs and audit records
7. Vendor, Procurement & Cost Management
Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and IT services
Manage procurement of devices, licenses, and tools
Track vendor performance, renewals, and IT costs
Handle billing, invoices, and expense tracking
8. IT Governance, Reporting & Compliance Readiness-
Maintain audit logs, access records, and system documentation
Prepare for investor due diligence and client security requirements
Track and report IT KPIs, security posture, and device compliance
Maintain risk register and improvement roadmap
9. Automation & Scalability-
Automate updates, compliance checks, and backups
Design scalable IT systems for company growth
Reduce manual workload through structured processes
Ensure readiness for future integrations (security tools / MSPs)
10. Server Room & Local Infrastructure Management-
Manage and maintain basic server room / IT infrastructure setup
Monitor routers, switches, and on-prem network systems
Ensure physical security and controlled access to IT infrastructure
Maintain power, cabling, and basic environmental readiness
Coordinate with vendors for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)-
Understanding of cybersecurity practices (phishing, spam control, endpoint security)
Experience in startup or fast-paced environments
