About the role

As a Systems Analyst, you will support the IT department with ensuring the integrity, scalability, and performance of core systems and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in architecting solutions, analyzing system performance, implementing improvements, and serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. The role is ultimately responsible for the IT operations of the west texas region. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on system administration, bridging the gap between day-to-day operations and future-state IT capabilities. Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Systems Analyst is responsible for: Providing IT systems administration across multiple IREN data centers, ensuring seamless infrastructure performance, uptime, and support. Managing procurement of both software and hardware for regional employees, and supporting datacenter growth. Maintaining virtualization and server infrastructure to support the business. Analyzing existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and support future growth and scalability. Managing configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise systems such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions. Working on regional system upgrade projects, patch management, and network enhancements, coordinating with both global and local teams. Escalating complex technical issues across data center location to senior manager Ensuring system security and compliance in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements, including audit readiness and documentation. Collaborating closely with IT stakeholders across Australia, the US, and Canada to align infrastructure performance with business objectives. Managing relationships with external vendors and service providers, overseeing support contracts and evaluating service delivery. Maintaining accurate documentation of system architecture, processes, and troubleshooting workflows to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity. Desired Qualifications include: 1-3 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, infrastructure support, or systems administration, preferably in a multi-site or data center environment. Experience with enterprise IT systems, including Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Strong understanding of networking protocols, storage solutions, and security best practices across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, including identity management, automation, and monitoring. Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and cross-site deployments. Proficiency in scripting and automation, such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working across geographically distributed teams and stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL are highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
