Job description
IREN is a leading AI Cloud Service Provider, delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada.

We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.
The Sustainability Program Manager will help build and run IREN's Sustainability program by turning priorities into day-to-day execution across the business. Working closely with the Associate Director - Commercial, this role will drive execution of the sustainability roadmap, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and strengthen emissions, governance, and reporting processes (including evidence collection, draft coordination, customer requests, and required or voluntary disclosures).
Sustainability is increasingly important to customers, investors, operations, and commercial strategy in the data center and AI cloud services space.

Typically 4 - 7 years of experience in program management, strategy and operations, sustainability, consulting, or a related cross-functional role.

Comfortable working with data, coordinating inputs, and maintaining organized trackers and evidence for internal and external use.
Familiarity with core sustainability topics such as greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy, water, waste, and disclosures; deep technical specialization is not required.
Familiarity with GHG Protocol, Scope 1/2/3, renewable energy certificates, and sustainability reporting frameworks a plus.
Experience preparing materials, status updates, and decision support for senior leaders.
Experience managing cross-functional programs with ownership across groups.
Exposure to reporting workflows and tools such as a reporting platform or similar systems is a plus.
Highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functions, senior stakeholders, and time zones.
Strong research, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a fast-moving environment.
Job responsibilities
Driving day-to-day execution of the sustainability roadmap and coordinating cross-functional work across Finance, Operations, Procurement, EHS, HR, Legal, Communications, and other business teams.
Supporting development of IREN's Scope 1 - 3 emissions inventory and sustainability governance processes by coordinating data collection, tracking actions, and maintaining organized supporting documentation.
Providing light support for sustainability reporting and the reporting platform in the interim, including draft coordination, evidence gathering, customer requests, and required and voluntary disclosures.
