Founding AI Engineer (Full-Stack, AI Integration) Location: In-person – PLS Nagar, Coimbatore Type: Full-time Compensation: Competitive salary with equity potential We're building a conversational AI platform designed specifically for schools. The goal is to streamline lesson planning, automate test generation, and provide meaningful feedback to students through AI tools. We're currently working with partner schools and are ready to begin building our MVP. We're looking for a Founding Engineer who will lead the development of the backend and AI systems. This is an in-person role at our office in PLS Nagar, Coimbatore. Responsibilities: Develop and manage the full backend architecture. Integrate large language models (LLMs) like OpenAI, Claude, etc. Build core features including lesson tracking, question generation, and automated feedback. Collaborate with the founder and frontend team to build and iterate on the product. Help define product direction based on real classroom feedback. Requirements: Studied AI/ML in college or have experience working with LLMs in production (OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, etc.). Strong experience in backend development (Node.js, Python, Firebase, or similar). Comfortable owning large parts of the technical stack. Able to work full-time from our Coimbatore office. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have: Exposure to prompt engineering or finetuning LLMs. Prior experience building early-stage products or internal tools.
