JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

As a Brand Partnerships Manager, you will be sourcing the best brands and products for our business. You will be responsible for sourcing new and exciting beauty brands and products, and building strong lasting relationships with existing brands.

This position reports to the Director of Brand Partnerships and is based in New York City, as a hybrid role (must live in the NYC area).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Proactively generate leads, pitch IPSY’s value proposition, and participate in business planning
  • Build and manage relationships with key brands by helping them achieve their objectives and develop a long-term business development strategy for consistent campaigns
  • Identify new brands and trending products, including acquiring exclusive products and presenting internally for future campaign inclusion
  • Work with strategy team to identify targets for, pitch and close on IPSY’s premium marketing services
  • Negotiate best-in-market cost, contract terms, and product offering to support overall growth strategy
  • Continuously educate brands on IPSYs new product offerings
  • Act as the brand ambassador internally to help define the vision, goals, and positioning of the brand in their IPSY campaign
  • Identify common callouts from brands during the curation process to assist in the development of future initiatives
  • Participate in industry and company events along with marketing production, as needed

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales, account management, buyer, or merchandising experience * in the beauty industry * (with strong beauty brand connections!)
  • Must have an analytical and business-minded approach to meet financial targets (with experience to back this)
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and brands for best possible cost (and proven examples of negotiation success)
  • Highly organized and results driven with the ability to handle competing priorities and accounts
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with external contacts, team members, and leadership
  • Comfortable with pitching to external and internal clients and meeting monthly goals (and success stories to share in this space)
  • Autonomous work style yet has a strong sense of collaboration, urgency, creativity, and results driven
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A passion for beauty
  • Leadership experience (direct and / or indirect)

  • Subscription experience
  • Salesforce, Excel, and / or Tableau experience
  • Beauty industry marketing background
  • Beauty industry merchandising/buying background
  • Brand relationships in the industry

CCPA Notice

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, skills, and location. IPSY offers a bonus, equity grants, and competitive benefits. Final compensation is determined by experience and skills.

Salary Range:: $97,000 USD - $125,000 USD
