Job Description
- Own end-to-end project delivery lifecycle from initiation to handover for Life Sciences projects, ensuring delivery within defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for delivery performance, managing internal teams, subcontractors, and client expectations.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, support proposal development, and ensure alignment of project goals with client and corporate objectives.
- Lead or contribute to design development and budget planning activities with minimal supervision.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, especially within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and R&D industries, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Identify delivery risks early, escalate appropriately, and work with Project Executives and Directors to implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee change control processes, ensuring proper communication and documentation of scope adjustments and additional service needs.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, ensuring coordinated and efficient delivery across engineering, construction, commissioning, and validation phases.
- Drive adherence to project governance, compliance requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, MHRA), and documentation standards.
- Maintain and update Project Execution Plans, meeting minutes, action item logs, and status dashboards.
- Prepare and present regular internal and client-facing financial and schedule reports, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure consistent team communication, coordination, and accountability across all stakeholders.
- Manage sub-consultant scopes related to cleanrooms, critical utilities, process equipment, and validation.
- Demonstrate ability to deliver multiple large, concurrent Life Sciences projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Promote continuous learning and innovation in delivery methodologies, leveraging tools and SOPs for process improvement.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to project managers, engineers, and support staff.
- Take proactive ownership of all delivery outcomes, resolving conflicts and preventing delays through foresight and engagement.
- Identify and implement best practices and innovations to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as required in support of strategic business goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 12years industry experience, at least five (9) of which includes Project delivery experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or planning.
- A minimum of 5 years’ Pharmaceutical project experience
- Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others.
- Fundamental level of scheduling skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, excellent communications skills, team building and strong work ethics. Must be able to build rapport with project staff.
- Skilled in the use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning and scheduling software.
- Understanding of Earned Value and other project controls methods.
- Promotes Safety and adheres to IPS and client Safety policies
