Entry level position preparing fibers for medical surgical products. Assemblers use hand tools and light power tools to process fiber.

- Aligns and joins parts into housing, modifies, fabricates, and builds equipment and subassemblies using power tools, hand tools, and various soldering equipment.
- Follows instructions on work order cleaves and tests fiber.
- Adds RFD tag, measures and aligns fiber for laser.
- Sends completed fiber to stock location.
- Records order in production database.
- Retrieves completed fibers from stock for packaging and labeling.
- Sends completed fiber to sterilizer then on to Quality Assurance department.
- Solves minor problems and recognizes bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.
