Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane for an IPDRG Coder. The IPDRG Coder will be responsible for accurately assigning International Patient Diagnosis-Related Groups (IPDRG) codes to patient records and diagnoses. Key tasks include reviewing medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, collaborating with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation, and maintaining accuracy in coding to facilitate accurate reimbursements. The coder will also assist in audits and contribute to enhancing the overall coding processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in IPDRG coding, medical terminology, and understanding of coding standards.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills to ensure coding accuracy.
- Experience with healthcare documentation review and compliance.
- Familiarity with healthcare data systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clinical and administrative teams.
- Relevant certifications in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of auditing processes and quality standards in medical coding is a plus.
