Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end patient journey from IPD admission to discharge and OPD scheduling to follow-ups, ensuring minimal delays and maximum satisfaction.
- Act as the central communication hub between clinicians, nursing staff, billing, diagnostic labs, and patient families to align care delivery timelines.
- Verify insurance eligibility, pre-authorizations, and billing documentation for IPD cases—collaborating with finance and insurance teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Manage OPD appointment calendar, triage patient inquiries, and prioritize scheduling for specialist consultations and diagnostic slots.
- Monitor daily patient flow metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements to reduce patient wait time and optimize resource use.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, consent forms, and discharge summaries—maintaining compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Hospital information systems (HIS)
- Patient scheduling software
- Insurance verification tools
- OPD/IPD management protocols
- EMR/EHR platforms
- Regulatory compliance (NABH/JCI/Hospital SOPs)
Preferred
- familiarity with TPA portals
- Experience with telemedicine scheduling systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
