Job Description
As an IP Analyst II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in protecting and managing Honeywell's intellectual property assets. You will support the IP team in developing and implementing IP strategies to safeguard Honeywell's innovations. Your expertise in patent and trademark laws will be essential in managing the IP portfolio and providing guidance to business units on IP matters.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell's ability to protect its innovations, maintain a strong IP portfolio, and drive business growth through strategic IP management.
Your role will also include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end‑to‑end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyze prior art to determine patentability, conduct freedom to operate searches, and invalidity searches.
Draft and file high-quality patent applications with the relevant patent offices
Prepare responses to office actions and communicate effectively with patent examiners
Manage and maintain the patent portfolio, including tracking deadlines and renewals
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on patent-related matters
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
3-6 years of experience with Intellectual Property, with a focus on patents and trademarks.
Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations.
Experience in conducting patent searches and analyzing prior art.
