Seasonal Hiring Center Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Seasonal Hiring Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Iowa State Fair’s seasonal hiring center during peak recruiting periods. This role works with the Human Resources Manager to supervise hiring center interns and ensure efficient Iowa State Fair seasonal hiring goals. The supervisor coordinates interview schedules, monitors workflow, and ensures hiring procedures are followed consistently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support hiring center interns
  • Oversee daily hiring center operations, ensuring efficient candidate flow and timely processing
  • Coordinate interview schedules, hiring events, and onboarding activities
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust workflows to meet hiring demand
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, hiring procedures, and employment regulations
  • Provide guidance and training to hiring center interns as needed
  • Maintain accurate hiring records and track recruitment metrics
  • Address candidate questions or concerns and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager and hiring managers to meet staffing targets
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience in recruiting, human resources, customer service, or high-volume hiring environments preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and applicant tracking systems preferred

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • This is a temporary role which begins on April 13th and ends on August 23rd of 2026.
  • May require extended hours, evenings, or weekends depending on hiring demand
  • Primarily office or hiring center environment with frequent interaction with applicants and staff
