About the Role

We're looking for an iOS development intern to help build our native iOS application. You'll work on developing mobile features, integrating with backend APIs, and creating user interfaces that bring our AI-powered platform to life on mobile devices.

We use AI-powered development tools (Claude Code) extensively in our workflow. You'll need strong prompting skills and experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate development.

This is a hands-on role where you'll gain experience building real iOS apps, working with modern Swift frameworks, and shipping features to users in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Work On

iOS app development - Build features for our native iOS application using Swift

User interface development - Create responsive and intuitive mobile UI using SwiftUI or UIKit

API integration - Connect mobile app to backend REST APIs

Camera and media features - Work with device camera and video processing capabilities

Performance optimization - Ensure smooth app performance and responsive user experience

Feature testing - Test and debug features across different iOS devices

App deployment - Help with app builds and deployment to TestFlight/App Store

Required Skills

Mobile app development experience - Built at least one iOS app OR Android app (personal project, coursework, or internship)

AI coding assistant proficiency - Strong experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor) for development

Effective prompting skills - Ability to write clear, detailed prompts to get high-quality code from AI assistants

Programming fundamentals - Strong understanding of Swift (for iOS) or Kotlin/Java (for Android)

Mobile UI development - Experience with SwiftUI/UIKit (iOS) or Jetpack Compose/XML layouts (Android)

API integration - Understanding of REST APIs and JSON

Version control - Git proficiency

Strong work ethic - Highly motivated, able to work hard and take ownership

Willingness to learn - Eager to learn iOS development (if coming from Android) and adapt quickly

Problem-solving - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

Experience with SwiftUI for modern iOS development

Familiarity with camera APIs (AVFoundation for iOS, Camera2 for Android)

Knowledge of Core ML or on-device machine learning

Understanding of async programming (async/await, Combine)

Experience with video processing or media handling

Published apps on App Store or Google Play

Conversion Opportunity

This is a 6-month paid internship with strong potential for conversion to a full-time position. High-performing interns who demonstrate exceptional work ethic, technical growth, and ability to ship quality code will be considered for full-time roles upon completion of the internship.
