About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic iOS AI/ML Intern to help build computer vision-powered features for our native iOS application.
You'll work at the intersection of mobile engineering, camera and video processing, on-device machine learning, and fitness movement analysis. This is a hands-on internship where you'll contribute to real product features while learning from experienced engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.
We also use AI-assisted development tools extensively, so strong prompting skills and the ability to review AI-generated code are valuable.
What You'll Work On
Build and enhance native iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
Develop camera capture, video processing, device orientation, framing, and real-time user workflows
Integrate computer vision features for pose estimation and exercise detection
Work with Core ML and on-device machine learning models
Evaluate model performance using videos, pose data, logs, and edge cases
Integrate backend REST APIs with the iOS application
Improve application performance, responsiveness, battery usage, and reliability
Use AI coding assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate implementation, debugging, and development workflows
Required Skills
Strong programming fundamentals in Swift, Python, or another modern programming language
Experience building at least one iOS or mobile application project
Willingness to learn Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, async programming, and iOS architecture
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and an interest in computer vision
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Comfortable using Git and GitHub for branching, commits, and collaborative workflows
Experience using AI coding assistants
Strong work ethic, ability to learn quickly, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Computer vision or image/video analysis
