Role Description The Investment Banking Associate will work full time on-site in Kochi, supporting startup clients with transaction execution and strategic financial advisory. Responsibilities include building and maintaining detailed financial models, preparing pitch books and investment memoranda, and conducting valuation analyses for fundraising, mergers, and acquisitions. The associate will perform due diligence on startups, analyze financial statements and market data, and synthesize insights into clear recommendations. Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating with clients and investors, supporting negotiations, preparing presentations and reports, and contributing to business development initiatives within the startup ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Candidates should possess Financial Modeling and Valuation skills, including experience with discounted cash flow, comparable companies, and transaction analysis.
- Candidates should possess Due Diligence capabilities, including reviewing financials, legal documents, market research, and operational information.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Excel and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint), along with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or startup advisory is preferred.
- Candidates should possess a detail-oriented, collaborative working style, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and engage effectively with startup founders and investors on-site in Kochi.
