Job Function –
Gains an understanding of internal audit and banking operations and procedures by performing assigned projects and responsibilities within the Internal Audit function.
Job Responsibilities –
• Collects and organizes information as assigned for audits, including notes, spreadsheets, and workpapers.
• Assists with analyzing data as assigned to look for errors, gaps, or unusual activity.
• Attends meetings and/or interviews as needed in order to learn how different teams operate within the department.
• Engages in all projects as assigned.
• Participates in performance reviews of intern experience.
• Learns internal policies, rules and requirements as assigned.
• Assists with general tasks to support ongoing audit projects
• Ensures that own work and the financial institution comply with applicable regulations directly or through subordinates.
• All other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Experience –
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current full-time college student
• College degree in progress in related field with emphasis on banking OR satisfactory work experience required.
• Able to work 30-40 hours per week for the duration of the internship

• Must possess basic knowledge and skill in Illustrator
• Must possess working knowledge of MS Office
• Must possess knowledge of standard office equipment including computer, fax machine, scanner, printer and copy machine.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements –
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
• Ability to read and interpret a document.
• Ability to travel if required to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship,” then the employee must be accommodated, hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
