Inventory Head
Job Description Job Summary The Inventory Head will be responsible for end-to-end inventory planning, stock control, warehouse coordination, and inventory optimization to ensure uninterrupted production while maintaining optimal working capital levels. The role requires strong analytical ability, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination with Procurement, Production, Finance, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain optimal stock levels based on demand forecasts and production plans
• Define safety stock, reorder levels, and EOQ • Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory
• Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory
• Ensure FIFO / FEFO implementation
• Conduct cycle counts and physical stock audits
• Ensure accurate ERP inventory transactions (GRN, Issue, Transfer)
• Generate weekly/monthly inventory MIS reports
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Finance teams
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Planning & Control
• ERP inventory module experience
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Data Analysis)
• MRP understanding
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualification & Experience Graduate / MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (Preferred). 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing inventory management. Experience in multi-SKU / multi-vendor environment preferred
