Role Overview:
The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and optimizing inventory levels across all locations, ensuring accuracy, availability, and compliance with company processes. The role plays a critical part in cost control, material planning, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory (RM, consumables, spares, finished goods).
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum inventory is maintained to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile with system records.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and service teams for timely material availability.
- Track inward and outward movement of materials (GRN, dispatch, transfers).
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
- Manage defective material returns, replacements, and scrapping processes.
- Generate MIS reports on inventory status, consumption trends, and variances.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and safety of materials.
- Work closely with FMS systems to ensure real-time inventory visibility.
