Role Description The Inventory Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Panchkula, responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and reliable inventory operations at The Belgian Waffle Xpress. In this role, the specialist monitors stock levels, records daily inventory movements, and updates systems to reflect incoming supplies and outgoing products. They coordinate with kitchen, purchasing, and outlet teams to schedule and verify deliveries, manage storage areas, and maintain clear documentation for all inventory transactions. The position involves conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks, investigating discrepancies, and implementing controls to minimize waste, stockouts, and losses. The specialist also supports inventory-related reporting, follows food safety and operational standards, and contributes to continuous improvement of inventory processes across the location.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in inventory control and inventory management to track stock levels, maintain records, and support efficient daily operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory accuracy and physical inventory to perform cycle counts, verify stock on hand, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Candidates should possess skills in shipping & receiving to coordinate deliveries, inspect incoming goods, and ensure correct documentation for all inbound and outbound items.
- Candidates should have basic proficiency with POS or inventory software, spreadsheets, and data entry for accurate recording and reporting.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced foodservice environment.
- Candidates should have prior experience in inventory or store operations, preferably in QSR, retail, or foodservice; familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
