We are searching for Process Engineers to assist with establishing, maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
- Organize, implement and maintain production processes
- Develop assembly instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and ensure they are followed
- Continually improve existing operations, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement and for resolutions to manufacturing problems including processes, machines, or programming problems
- Liaise with production planner/scheduler for ensuring the released assemblies have adequate programs, documentation and processes
- Provide manufacturing data to monitor and measure progress to target
- Work with design engineering on DFX (design for excellence) to include:
- Design for cost
- Design for test
- Design for manufacturability
- Design for assembly
- Liaise with suppliers on manufacturing processes
- Research and justify new manufacturing technology to reduce costs, improve quality and increase capacity
- Program manufacturing and inspection equipment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement and work standards
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Design of Experiments
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Analytical skills including research, trend analysis, data analysis, and presentation of data through charts and graphs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
- Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization
- Ability to plan, resolve problems effectively and establish priorities
- Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to travel as needed
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with two years prior work experience, related technical associate degree with four years of work experience, or high school diploma with a minimum of six years of relevant work experience required
- Previous experience in an electronic and/or electromechanical manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with an ISO-9000, 13485 or AS-9000 environment
