Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled End-User Data Administrator to manage and maintain end-user profiles, network-shared data, and permissions through Active Directory (AD). This role is crucial in ensuring secure, streamlined, and efficient access to shared resources within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AD permissions, user profile management, and shared data configurations, with a focus on optimizing data accessibility while upholding security standards.
Key Responsibilities
User Profile Management: Set up, modify, and manage end-user profiles, ensuring appropriate access levels and permissions for systems, applications, and network resources.
Data Access Control: Administer Active Directory-based permissions for network-shared data, configuring access controls to maintain data integrity, security, and accessibility.
Security Compliance: Implement and enforce IT policies and security protocols for end-user data, including access audits, permission reviews, and compliance with data protection standards.
Shared Data Management: Maintain shared folders and network drives, ensuring appropriate structure, organization, and user access based on departmental needs and access rights.
User Support: Serve as a point of contact for user access requests, troubleshooting permission-related issues, and providing technical support for data access concerns.
Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain documentation for access permissions, data structures, and user profiles. Generate regular reports on access changes, user activity, and security incidents.
Collaboration: Coordinate with IT support, cybersecurity, and network teams to manage and resolve any conflicts or challenges related to permissions and shared resources.
Automation & Optimization: Work with the IT team to identify opportunities to automate access management processes, enhancing efficiency and minimizing human error in permissions handling.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a role involving Active Directory, user profile management, or data administration.
Strong experience with managing AD permissions, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and shared network data.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and other Microsoft administrative tools.
Solid understanding of file permissions, NTFS permissions, and best practices for shared data configurations.
Familiarity with data governance, compliance standards, and security best practices.
Other Skills:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple access requests simultaneously.
