Technology and Innovation. INTRODUCTION OF POST Within Information Systems & Technology Directorate (IS), the Sub-Directorate IT Customer Services (ICS), is responsible for promoting and developing the use of INTERPOL services in INTERPOL member countries and regional and international Organizations and for supporting all users of the INTERPOL information systems. ICS delivers his services through 3 Departments: Outreach (responsible for promotion and development of the services), Services (responsible for supporting the users with planned services and asset management) and Support (responsible for supporting the users in case of problems or incident). Within the Outreach Department of IS/ICS Sub-Directorate, the I-24/7 Deployment Officer will report to the IT Coordinator in charge of the relation with the Project Manager and will work in close cooperation with all relevant Departments. The I-24/7 Deployment Officer: • is responsible for assisting the beneficiary Member Countries of the Project in deploying I-24/7 products and services to national law enforcement entities, in compliance with the INTERPOL's Rules on Data Processing (Article 21) and in close cooperation with the National Central Bureau (NCB). • acts as the liaison between the Business Project Manager and the IS teams involved and, when necessary, with contractual partners (outsourced development). • plays a pivotal role in the technical implementation and deployment of I-24/7 services and products, coordinating closely with the NCBs and national IT representatives. • is responsible for advising his/her IS/ICS hierarchy as well as the Business Project Manager on technical, operational, and financial issues related to the promotion, implementation, and deployment of services on the I-24/7 Global Police Communications system within the Framework of the Project. PRIMARY DUTIES DUTY 1: Promote all services available on I-24/7 to the countries in the region under his/her responsibility. • Develop and provide comprehensive IT project plans and schedules, detailing functional, economic, technical, and organizational requirements for the future system. • Actively participate in the procurement process by evaluating bids, and present findings and recommendations to the Procurement Committee. Oversee the IT aspects of contracts with selected bidders. • Work under lead of the Regional IT Coordinator and the NCB/National IT's focal point to develop and implement a sustainable strategic deployment plan. This plan should ensure an effective and efficient rollout of relevant I-24/7 product and services in the beneficiary countries, aiming for optimal system integration and user adoption. • Study, under the supervision and at the request his/her IS/ICS hierarchy, any issue related to the deployment of the I-24/7 system and provides documented recommendations. • Work daily with the Business Project Manager for his/her planning. DUTY 2: Establish close working relationships with member countries and provide guidance on the implementation of I-24/7 expansions within the NCBs and any other I-24/7 connected entities. • Ensure under control of the IT Coordinator that all technical guidelines and business prerequisites are met prior to initiating the Go-Live process, facilitating access to the I-24/7 system for the NCBs and other authorized entities. This includes the provision of training materials, conducting awareness sessions, and supplying support documentation to relevant focal points. Additionally, ensure that these activities align with I-24/7 deployment policies and INTERPOL's Rules on Data Processing (Article 21). • Execute or oversee acceptance testing at the time of project acceptance, ensuring compliance with user requirements, and supervise the regular service and system availability checks. • Closely monitor, report, and coordinate the technical aspects of the I-24/7 system deployment at the national level in member countries, maintaining compliance with INTERPOL rules and recommendations. DUTY 3: Regularly consult and work, under the supervision of IS/ICS hierarchy, on any possible adjustments that would be necessary for the I-24/7 expansion policies. • Consolidate and provide comprehensive progress reports to the hierarchy (IT Coordinator) and key stakeholders (such as business project manager, business owners and external sponsors), capturing the overall status of the I-24/7 service deployment. • Utilize and leverage Project Management and Business Intelligence tools, in addition to methodologies endorsed by the Directorate/Organization, to ensure effective tracking of the technical pillar objectives. • Conduct in-depth analysis and prepare detailed reports on the deployment progress of I-24/7 Products, including studies and recommendations based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in comparison to established objectives, aligning with the technical pillar of related project(s). • Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor, adapting to evolving project needs and objectives. DUTY 4: Other relevant duties • Perform any other duties as required by the hierarchy.
