Role Description
This is a part-time, remote internship for highly motivated students who want hands-on experience at the intersection of sports, technology, and business growth. As a Business Development Intern at Arena IQ, you will work directly with the founding team to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and help grow our user base across sports academies and institutions. You will gain real exposure to how an early-stage startup operates — from strategy to execution.
What you'll do
- Identify and reach out to sports academies, coaches, and institutions as potential Arena IQ partners or users
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and uncover new growth opportunities
- Support lead generation efforts - build prospect lists, draft outreach messages, and track follow-ups
- Assist with client onboarding, relationship nurturing, and ensuring a high-quality user experience
- Analyze data from outreach campaigns and user interactions to identify trends and optimize strategies
- Collaborate with the founding team on business growth experiments and go-to-market initiatives
What we're looking for
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the confidence to reach out to and build relationships with professionals
- Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from data and translate them into actionable next steps
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote setup
- Genuine interest in sports technology, startups, or entrepreneurship
- Background in sports (as a player, coach, or organizer) is a strong plus
