About Position
The Internet Circuit Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management, performance, and reliability of all internet and WAN circuits across the organization. This role ensures optimal connectivity by coordinating with service providers, monitoring circuit health, managing outages, and supporting capacity planning. The ideal candidate combines technical networking knowledge with strong vendor management and operational skills.

What You'll Do - Circuit Management
- Maintain inventory of all internet and WAN circuits (fiber, broadband, MPLS, DIA, etc.)
- Oversee provisioning, upgrades, renewals, and decommissioning of circuits
- Ensure accurate documentation of circuit details, SLAs, and configurations
- Vendor & Carrier Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for ISPs and telecom providers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Track vendor performance and escalate chronic issues
- Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor circuit availability, latency, jitter, and throughput
- Analyze trends and recommend capacity upgrades or optimizations
- Ensure adherence to uptime and performance SLAs
- Incident & Outage Management
- Lead response efforts during circuit outages and degradations
- Coordinate troubleshooting with internal teams and external carriers
- Provide timely communication and post-incident reporting (RCA)
- Cost & Billing Management
- Review and validate telecom invoices for accuracy
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and eliminate unused services
- Maintain budget forecasts for circuit-related expenses
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and circuit records
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support audits with accurate connectivity documentation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with network engineers, security teams, and site operations
- Support new site deployments and infrastructure expansions
- Participate in disaster recovery and redundancy planning
Expertise You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7+ years of experience in network operations, telecom management, or ISP coordination
- Strong understanding of WAN technologies (MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, DIA, broadband)
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, ThousandEyes)
- Familiarity with SLAs, circuit provisioning, and carrier escalation processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
- Experience managing multi-site enterprise networks
- Knowledge of BGP, routing, and network performance tuning
- Experience with contract negotiation and telecom expense management tools
