This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. The Lead Application Engineer will partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-performing solutions aligned to our digital transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise application solutions supporting ERP modernization efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Drive system integration efforts across ERP platforms and connected applications
- Develop, test, and deploy enhancements, customizations, and APIs
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise platforms
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and configurations
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in enterprise systems and ERP platforms
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- Node.js backend development
- React or similar frontend frameworks
- SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
- Experience modernizing or inheriting legacy systems and transitioning them to internal ownership.
- Familiarity with Azure-native architecture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in application engineering, software development, or enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
- Strong experience with system integrations, APIs, and data workflows
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or similar
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading ERP modernization or digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
