About The Opportunity
A leading player in the global agri-commodity exports sector, we specialize in premium Basmati rice distribution across international markets. With operations spanning over 40 countries, we’re scaling our global footprint—and need sharp, analytical minds to turn trade data into competitive advantage.
Role & Responsibilities
- Track and analyze real-time trade flows, tariffs, import/export regulations, and market trends across key Basmati rice destinations (Middle East, EU, UK, North America, Africa).
- Build dynamic market dashboards using trade databases (Trade Map, ITC, UN Comtrade, national customs portals) to forecast demand, pricing volatility, and competitor positioning.
- Conduct country-specific market entry risk assessments: regulatory barriers, phytosanitary rules, labeling standards, and currency/transportation cost implications.
- Collaborate with Sales & Logistics to align export strategies with regional preferences, seasonal demand cycles, and trade policy shifts.
- Prepare executive-ready briefs on emerging markets, trade wars, subsidy changes, and geopolitical disruptions affecting rice trade flows.
- Identify and recommend new export corridors or product variants (e.g., organic, parboiled, branded packs) based on gap analysis and consumer behavior insights.
