The
International Supply Chain Liaison provides essential operational support for Future Tech’s global logistics and trade compliance functions.
This position ensures end-to-end coordination of international transportation, documentation, export/import compliance, depot–carrier planning, and order execution. The role oversees operational milestones, shipment performance, and cross-border requirements to maintain optimal service levels and streamline global order flow.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong organizational, coordination, and transportation-operations skills; the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced global environment; and the capacity to resolve issues proactively while supporting key stakeholders across time zones.
This is an India-based, Remote position. The work hours are
1:30p – 10:30p India Standard time. (8:00 – 17:00 UTC)
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations
- Coordinate and monitor the international movement of goods in partnership with fulfillment teams
- Provide visibility and support regarding transportation disruptions, escalating issues that may affect service-level expectations
- Track shipment milestones and delivery performance, initiating corrective actions to protect turnaround times and customer commitments
Documentation & Trade Compliance
- Prepare and validate export and import documentation, including Commercial Proforma invoices, Carrier cost-tracking sheets, Shipper’s Letters of Instruction (SLI), and House Bills of Lading (HBOL)
- Collect and verify Certificates of Origin, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/UN), and other compliance documents to ensure audit readiness
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers to verify export readiness and compliance with international trade regulations
Route Optimization & Logistics Planning
- Execute and refine routing guidelines to improve cost efficiency, transit time reliability, and on-time delivery performance
- Support planning efforts to optimize international and cross-trade outbound flows, balancing cost, lead time, and service-level requirements
RMA & Reverse Logistics
- Support reverse logistics operations including RMA coordination, asset-collection routing, and damaged-goods management
- Oversee return-shipment performance through depot networks and third-party carriers to ensure timely resolution and turnaround
Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner closely with internal teams; including Sales, Procurement, Fulfillment, and Depot to maintain transparent and aligned communication
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for international order, logistics, or pre-/post-shipment disruptions
- Support global time-zone communication needs to ensure timely response and issue escalation
Reporting & Performance Management
- Assist Global Supply Chain leadership in gathering transportation, logistics, and performance data to support KPI reporting and operational analysis
- Identify performance gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in international logistics, transportation operations, trade compliance, and end-to-end supply-chain coordination
- Strong knowledge of global transportation processes, export documentation standards, and customs compliance requirements
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related logistics platforms
- Advanced organizational and time-management capabilities with the ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions
- Advanced Excel capability and strong proficiency in Power BI or comparable data-visualization tools; ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights
- Willingness to travel occasionally for vendor meetings, on-site inspections, and training activities
