Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for an International Business Development Executive. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in international markets for the company’s chemical product portfolio. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing target regions, generating and qualifying leads, and managing outreach to prospective clients through calls, emails, and virtual or in-person meetings. The executive will prepare commercial proposals, support contract negotiations, coordinate with internal teams for pricing, supply chain, and documentation, and ensure timely order execution and customer follow-up. The role also includes maintaining a strong sales pipeline, preparing regular business reports, participating in trade shows or industry events when required, and staying informed about global market trends, competition, and regulatory requirements in key export markets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in International Business Development and International Business, preferably in chemicals or related B2B export industries.
- Strong Market Research and Lead Generation skills to identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities across multiple regions.
- Excellent Communication skills, including professional business writing and confident client-facing interaction in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Solid understanding of international trade practices, export documentation, Incoterms, and basic commercial terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and online research platforms.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation abilities, with a goal-oriented and analytical mindset.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, logistics, finance, quality).
