Position: Internal Audit Associate
Location: Oman
Employment Type: Full Time
Job Summary:
The Internal Audit Associate supports the internal audit team to prepare the annual internal audit plan after documenting the business processes, evaluating the company’s internal controls, financial reporting, risk management practices, compliance with relevant local regulations and international auditing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Execution:
- Assist in planning and executing internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Perform fieldwork, conduct interviews, and test internal controls.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Document audit procedures and findings.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and presenting recommendations for process improvements.
Risk & Compliance:
- Identify risks and assess internal controls.
- Test compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
- Follow up on corrective actions for audit recommendations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work with other departments to gather data and review processes.
- Stay updated on audit trends and regulations.
Other Duties:
- Assist in special projects and ad-hoc audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, Semi qualified CA/ACCA.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years in internal or external audit, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of audit tools is a plus.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications are a plus.
