Role Description The Wix Designer Junior – Web Design – Remote role is a full-time position focused on designing and building visually engaging, user-friendly websites using the Wix platform. In this role, you will translate client requirements into responsive web designs, configure site layouts, select appropriate templates, and customize elements to reflect each brand’s identity. You will collaborate with senior designers and digital marketing specialists to ensure consistency across web, social, and other digital assets, while optimizing sites for usability and performance. Daily tasks include updating existing Wix sites, creating landing pages, integrating basic front-end features, and maintaining brand guidelines across graphics and layouts. You will also participate in project reviews, test websites across devices, and provide input on improving user experience and conversion rates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in Web Design and Responsive Web Design, with an ability to create user-centered layouts and experiences.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Front-End Development (e.g., HTML, CSS within the Wix environment) to configure and tweak site functionality.
- Graphic Design and Graphics skills to create and refine visual assets, icons, and imagery aligned with brand guidelines.
- Experience or familiarity with the Wix platform, including templates, apps, and customization options.
- Good understanding of web usability, accessibility principles, and mobile-first design practices.
- Ability to follow creative briefs, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote, collaborative setting.
- Strong attention to detail, visual sense, and willingness to learn from feedback and mentor guidance.
- Relevant coursework or certification in web design, graphic design, or a related field is beneficial; portfolio of previous web or design work is highly preferred.
