Role Description This is a full-time remote internship role focused on Self Help Groups (SHGs), Village Development Plans, and Skill Development initiatives. The intern will support research and documentation related to SHGs and rural development programs, including collecting, organizing, and analyzing field data and secondary information. Daily tasks include assisting in designing village development plans, preparing concept notes, reports, and presentations, and contributing to the development and refinement of skill development strategies for rural communities. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting project monitoring and evaluation activities, and maintaining clear records of project activities and outcomes. Interns are expected to work collaboratively, manage timelines effectively, and proactively contribute ideas that strengthen community development and livelihood initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in rural development, self help groups, community mobilization, and village-level planning.
- Strong research and analytical abilities, including data collection, synthesis of findings, and preparation of evidence-based recommendations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for drafting reports, policy briefs, presentations, and stakeholder communication.
- Basic project coordination skills, including time management, task tracking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms for remote work, such as office productivity suites, online collaboration tools, and data management software.
- Coursework or academic background in public policy, development studies, social sciences, rural management, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to impact-driven work.
- Prior exposure to fieldwork, grassroots organizations, or government programs is an advantage but not mandatory.
