Company Description
ArmourIQ is an innovative cybersecurity company focused on building robust Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions and expanding awareness in the digital security landscape. We are passionate about creating real-world impact and developing tools that simplify complex security challenges.
Role Description
We are looking for driven, aspiring cybersecurity professionals to join our team for a 6-month intensive internship. While this is an unpaid position, it is designed as a heavy mentorship and training program. You will step out of the classroom and into a real-world cybersecurity environment, working directly alongside experienced professionals. This is a hands-on opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical, industry-standard experience.
What You'll Do
- Shadow and Assist: Work closely with senior cybersecurity experts on day-to-day operations, gaining an inside look at how a cybersecurity firm functions.
- Hands-on GRC Exposure: Assist in tasks related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance, gaining exposure to industry-standard frameworks and internal projects (such as our GRC tool development).
- Threat & Vulnerability Research: Help monitor, research, and analyze current cybersecurity trends, universal threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborative Learning: Participate in team meetings, technical briefings, and brainstorming sessions to understand the real-world impact of security decisions.
- Process Documentation: Assist in drafting technical documentation, security protocols, and compliance reports.
What We Offer
- Direct Mentorship: 1-on-1 guidance and training from seasoned cybersecurity professionals.
- Real-World Experience: Hands-on involvement in ongoing, live projects at ArmourIQ rather than simulated lab exercises.
- Career Development: Resume building, interview preparation advice, and networking opportunities within the cybersecurity space.
- Certification: An official Certificate of Internship upon successful completion of the 6-month program, verifying your practical experience and contributions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A strong, self-driven passion for cybersecurity and a hunger to learn.
- Basic understanding of core security concepts, networks, and operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
