Role Description
This full-time Intern position is an opportunity to work on-site at our office located in Bengaluru. As an Intern, you will contribute to content creation, assist in editorial tasks, participate in research for stories, and support event coverage across the city. You may also be involved in brainstorming creative ideas, managing digital and social media platforms, and ensuring that content aligns with The Urbanite’s vision and voice. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced media environment.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and writing skills, with a passion for storytelling and journalism
- Research skills to identify relevant topics and gather credible information
- Familiarity with content creation, editing, and proofreading
- Knowledge or interest in social media management and digital marketing
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Creativity and enthusiasm for the local culture, art, and happenings in Bengaluru
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential
