About FlyingTwin Private Limited
FlyingTwin is a Coimbatore-based aerospace startup building AI-powered digital twin simulations for aircraft propulsion systems electric, hybrid, hydrogen, and gas turbine. We work at the intersection of physics-based modelling, machine learning and AI.
The Role
You will work directly with the founder on live research and simulation projects, including:
- Propulsion system architecture studies for eVTOL, UAV and fixed-wing aircraft
- Hydrogen fuel cell system powertrain modelling and simulation
- Literature review, technical documentation, and simulation model development (Ansys, MATLAB/Simulink, Python)
What you gain
This is an unpaid internship. We are transparent about that. Here is what you get instead, and why it matters if you are a fresh BE/ME graduate looking for your first aerospace role:
- Real project experience on your CV — not observation, not shadowing. You will own deliverables on aircraft propulsion and digital twin projects, the two fastest-growing niches in aerospace hiring.
- Exposure to active research work — you will support live research on aircraft propulsion systems. Interns whose contributions are substantial may, at the company's discretion, be acknowledged in resulting publications.
- Internship certificate and a detailed letter of recommendation describing your actual technical contributions, the kind recruiters verify and value.
- First consideration for paid roles as the company converts contracts.
Who should apply
- BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (2024–2026 graduates welcome)
- Working knowledge of aerodynamics, thermodynamics and propulsion fundamentals
- Exposure to Ansys, MATLAB/Simulink or Python (academic projects count)
- Based in or willing to work from Coimbatore preferred.
- Duration: 2–3 months, full-time preferred
