EFL Global is a leading supply chain and logistics solutions provider, offering global freight forwarding and logistics services. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Intern – GSS to join our team in Chennai.
Position Details
- Position: Intern – GSS
- Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- Workplace Type: Hybrid
- Employment Type: Contract – Internship
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Joining Preference: Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Assist with shipment-related documentation and operational activities.
- Develop practical knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documents, and freight forwarding processes.
- Perform assigned tasks accurately while following established processes and procedures.
- Work closely with team members to support daily operational requirements.
- Maintain attention to detail while handling a fast-paced workload.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Incoterms, shipping documents, and freight forwarding concepts.
- Internship or academic/project experience in logistics or supply chain will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy work environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Work Requirements
- Willingness to learn and build a career foundation in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts for up to 2 weeks per month, based on business requirements.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week, with Saturday as a half-day, based on business requirements.
- Candidates must be willing to commit to the complete 6-month contract period.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
