Role Description Intern Architects at SPAN Associates support the design and execution of architectural projects from concept through documentation. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves assisting with design development, preparing drawings and 3D models, and contributing to presentations and material boards. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with senior architects, coordinating design details, and helping integrate technical requirements into project solutions. Interns may also assist with basic project coordination tasks, documentation updates, and participation in client and internal review meetings. The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to professional practice and mentorship in a studio environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to support concept development and detailed design.
- Basic understanding of Software Development and Integration as they relate to design tools, BIM platforms, or digital workflows.
- Interest or exposure in Project Management, including organizing tasks, tracking deadlines, and supporting coordination efforts.
- Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and familiarity with presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
- Strong visual communication, technical drawing, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a studio setting, receive feedback constructively, and manage multiple tasks responsibly.
- Interest in materials, construction methods, and contemporary design practices; prior internship or studio project experience is an advantage.
