Role Summary
We are hiring an Intern – Tech News Editor (WordPress) to support our editorial workflow end-to-end. You will work on story discovery, research, drafting, editing support, and WordPress publishing. This role is ideal for candidates who follow tech daily and want real newsroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Track trending tech topics and pitch story ideas daily
- Research using credible sources (official blogs, press releases, trusted publications)
- Draft short tech news articles and assist in rewriting/clean editing
- Create strong headlines, key highlights, and meta descriptions
- Upload, format, and publish stories in WordPress (categories, tags, featured image, links)
- Add internal links and ensure clean structure for readability and SEO
- Support the senior editor with revisions, updates, and quality checks
- Follow editorial guidelines, accuracy standards, and deadlines strictly
Requirements
- Strong English writing + basic editing skills
- Interest in technology news and daily updates
- Familiarity with WordPress posting (or willingness to learn fast)
- Attention to detail (facts, spelling, formatting, structure)
- Ability to handle feedback and deliver on time
Good to Have (Plus Points)
- Basic SEO knowledge (keywords, on-page structure, meta)
- Experience in tech writing, blogging, or campus media
- Understanding of Google News-style story formatting
