Mental Health Intern

Position Summary
The Mental Health Intern will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of mental health initiatives within the Women's Health Initiative. The role requires a qualified mental health professional who can contribute to curriculum development, facilitate workshops and training programmes, coordinate programme activities, support communication and outreach efforts, and provide oversight to interns and project support staff.
The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of mental health, sport, education, and gender, contributing to programmes that support athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders across the sports ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Support
● Assist in the development and updating of mental health training materials, facilitator guides, and educational resources.
● Support the planning and delivery of workshops, awareness sessions, and training programmes.
Programme Coordination
● Support programme logistics, participant communication, registrations, scheduling, and documentation. ● Coordinate with facilitators, consultants, and partner organisations to ensure smooth programme implementation.
Communications and Content
● Assist in developing content for social media, newsletters, educational materials, and programme communications.
Research, Monitoring and Documentation
● Support literature reviews, data collection, monitoring activities, and programme evaluations.
● Assist in preparing reports, presentations, case studies, and knowledge products.
● Contribute to research papers, manuscripts, and other publications where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
● Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Sport Psychology or a related field.
● Students & Freshers are encouraged to apply.
● Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops, training programmes, or group-based interventions. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organisational, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
● Demonstrated experience in academic research, manuscript preparation, and publication processes.
Desirable
● Experience working with adolescents, young adults, athletes, or sport-based programmes.
● Familiarity with mental health promotion, psychoeducation, and curriculum development.
Competencies
● Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
● Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and aligned with organisational policies.
